Stripping For A Private Party!

Stripping For A Private Party!

AKA Working a Private Party or Event as a Stripper

Hi bohos! Welcome back to the blog where I share with you all my adventures and secrets from working in the exotic dancing industry. Today’s topic is something I have done from time to time but do get asked about: private parties.

I think I get asked about it now mostly because of COVID and people are opting for doing more private events than going into the club. I would also get asked because Hollywood films portrays these parties where clients “order a stripper” for an event. You can also be invited to join a party after the club closes.

If you have been thinking of doing private parties, don’t know how to get started, curious as to what goes on and all of that - read on! This post covers a basic outline of what you need to know. (This post is a little long but hang in there!)

DISCLAIMER: It’s important to know that if a situation doesn’t feel safe to leave immediately. This goes for inside the club as well. It’s also extremely important to either share your location on your phone with a friend or family member. You can share the address of where you will be, what time you will be there and when you are leaving. The more people that know the better. It’s also beneficial to bring a friend with you like another girl to work alongside. Or go with a group of girls. Some women even hire outside security to accompany them. It all depends on what you’re comfortable with but remember: SAFETY FIRST.

That being said, private parties can be a great way to earn extra money. Examples include:

  • Bachelor parties

  • Birthday parties

  • Boat parties

  • Private events

  • Out of town visitors (maybe not so much during COVID)

I also danced at private parties or for a group after the club would close. Some clubs have explicit rules against doing this so make sure you know about any restrictions your club may have.

So, as you can see there are many different types of parties that you can get involved in. The most important thing with any of these is that you establish boundaries and rules for yourself and your clients before you go to the event.

How to find parties or clients (In order from easiest/safest):

  • Through the club (if it’s allowed)

  • Through friends or past clients

  • Regular clients that you trust

  • Through a booking service

  • Online

These are all places that you can find this type of work. I have found that the top three are the easiest to use because you can meet the people beforehand, you can know who they are, maybe you trust them or trust the source, and you can negotiate or get paid ahead of time. You won’t need to share or split any of your income and you can dictate your own hours etc.

I have also utilized a booking service. This is probably my next suggestion. Find a service and ask if you can work with them. Do take note that they will do all the booking and negotiating for you but take a percentage or amount off the top of what they are charging. You will not be able to negotiate the full amount. You can make tips at the parties with a booking service. But for whatever you are charging to show up or your hourly rates they will usually take a percentage. You will also be booked for a certain amount of time. If you leave early or stay late you might not be compensated for those hours.

Lastly, online search forums like Craigslist have been know to search for girls. There are also online platforms that may have this listed in escort services. I have never done escort work through a site. I probably would be wary of sites like Craigslist. Because I was able to use the other options above, I never really searched online for work.

When you do book a party make sure that either you or the person you are going with knows how to command the room and establish authority right from the start. You can do this by still being nice but firm.

You can make it fun by explaining the rules in a fun engaging way - like play yelling lol

Rules that you should have (especially for people you don’t know)

  1. No Cell Phones

  2. No touching unless asked to do so

  3. Keep tips coming and everyone will have more fun

  4. Everyone find a seat and we will come to you

  5. No means no

Pretty simple rules, you don’t need them to be complicated. Keep in mind that by the time you are going to these parties - the clients will probably already be drunk. This means that rules are important and they need to be easy to follow.

Speaking of being drunk. Unless you absolutely trust the people there or already know them - I would recommend NOT getting drunk or intoxicated at all. If they offer you a drink, you can take one to be polite or bring your own drinks. But don’t get wasted with them. Remember that despite it being a party you are there to work.

Also if you are intoxicated, unfortunately you won’t be as firm with your boundaries and sometimes just like in the club, people can take advantage.

A couple drinks is all that you should have. Also, you should be able to drive home or order your Uber if needed. This means keep your head on and drink in moderation.

Getting Paid

The most important part DUH! So if you are working on your own. Charge by the hour and/or for showing up. Usually, two hour increments is all that’s needed. So for example, say you charge $300/hour then you would collect $600 upfront. Do this before you even get inside if possible. Either cash or Venmo works great. If you are doing Venmo make sure to change your user name so it’s not your real name.

Also make it known that this upfront cost is only for the hours you are there entertaining. This might mean doing a little show for the bachelor or doing a few dances for the birthday person for example. But do tell them that you expect to be tipped (see how to do this below) and that if they want a private room that is extra.

To get tipped at the party:

Guys love to make it rain but what if they don’t have any $1 bills? This is where you need to plan ahead and bring some with you. Usually, $200 in ones is great. They will Venmo you $200 and you exchange the ones for them to throw at you. Once they are out, you can always collect them and “recycle” so they can buy them all over again. You would be surprised how often this happens.

You can also sell dances maybe $100/dance around the room. Or you can put on a show like for the bachelor to get spanked and get tipped to do that. It’s important to make sure you playfully remind the guests to continue to tip you!

Selling a Private Room

This is another way to really make great money at a party. Presumably where you are dancing will have a private room. Usually a house with a bedroom or a hotel suite with another room will work perfect. Selling a private room is just like upsetting VIP at the club. You will want to charge by the half hour and charge a lot more than you do at the club. Make sure if you are working with someone they are also charging the same thing as you. This is helpful if later on there is any backlash at the price. You can say that you both charge the same and it’s standard operating procedure.

Also make sure to keep track of your time in the private room. Set an alarm on your phone or look around for a clock. If neither of these are around just take note of the music playing. Typically songs are between 4-5 minutes so for 30 minutes you would give 6-8 dances.

When you are in the private room remember that you are in control. Don’t let them ask for things or get away with things that you wouldn’t allow in the club. You can usually tell by the person how they are going to behave and can direct them accordingly. I know a shy bachelor isn’t going to really try anything so I can be a little extra teasy.

If they do start acting crazy or not following your rules. Go find your friend or leave and go out into the main room. If it’s really shady just get out ASAP. If you have a security guard text them or ask them to come inside and regulate.

At the end of the party!

Yay! Hopefully you have had some fun and made some money!

Make sure that you always have an excuse to leave. My favorite is that “you have another event you need to go to”.

This way they know that:

A. their time is up

b. the party is over

c. that you are expected to be somewhere else so no funny business

Make sure you change out of your clothes and into street clothes. Grab all your stuff and cash and head out. This is also why it’s super important to not get intoxicated. You will need to leave at a certain time. This establishes boundaries and makes sure that you aren’t staying for longer or not getting paid for the time you agreed to.

Love & glitter,
